Chapter Aids Children's Home

Every December, the chapter aids the Hope Children’s Home, a local organization that has cared for more than 5,000 abandoned, abused, neglected and orphaned children from newborn to 18 years old since 1968. The chapter partners with the home to provide the children with gifts for Christmas.

Communications Systems Director Speaks to Chapter

Wilcox, director, Communications Systems, and chief information officer, U.S. Special Operations Command, MacDill Air Force Base, Florida, as its guest speaker for the November luncheon. Wilcox spoke about the SOF Information Environment (SIE) and it's road map, goals and priorities

31st Annual STEM Education Golf Fundraiser

The chapter held its 31st annual golf tournament to raise funds for science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) and scholarship programs in October. For more than a quarter century, the tournament has brought together civilian and military communities to raise funds for educational scholarships provided by the chapter. The chapter thanks all the volunteers who helped make the event possible as well as the participants, golfers and organizations that donated to the event.

The Importance of Relationships

Luncheon Features Guest Panel

The September luncheon featured a guest speaker panel. The participants, Bill Burnham, technical director, USSOCOM; Laurie D. Marshall, engineering division chief, USCENTCOM; and Thomas R. Ivan, Joint Enabling Capabilities Command, spoke on commercial solutions for classified and gray network utilization and how industry can help.
